Privacy. It’s not something the basketball world’s It couple has had since they started dating over a year ago. If Larsa Pippen puts up her Miami house for sale, the world knows it. If Marcus Jordan goes shopping for engagement rings, the world knows it. And if Michael Jordan disapproves of his youngest son dating Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife, the world knows it. And now, there might be grander plans the lovebirds have. Or, at the very least, Larsa has insurance in place for said plans. And everyone’s been made privy to them. It looks like some big things seem to be at play.

Us Weekly recently sat down with Larsa Pippen, snippets of an interview they posted on their YouTube channel. In one of them, they addressed a particular rumor, one that Pippen confirmed. “We see in the midseason trailer [of The Real Housewives of Miami] that you do still have some eggs on ice. Is that something that you’re seriously considering going forward?” they asked. The mother of four, for her part, was completely open to the idea.

“I’m really happy with my four kids,” Pippen said. However, she’s keeping Marcus Jordan’s best interests at heart. “But I feel like it wouldn’t be fair for me to not give Marcus that opportunity if he wanted to have kids. So, I do have a little insurance policy in a freezer in LA, just in case.” If that doesn’t prove just how strong Jordan and Pippen’s relationship is, what does? That’s not to say that her kids don’t mean the world to her.

Pippen has always been a loving and enthusiastic supporter of her children. “My success is based on how I’ve taken care of my kids, my businesses.” And if what she has to say about them is anything to go by, she couldn’t be prouder. “I’ve raised four kids. My son [Scotty Pippen Jr.] plays basketball with the Lakers, [and] my 18-year-old son [Justin] is being recruited by, like, all these Ivy League schools. My other son’s in college, my daughter is a model.” Seeing how they’ve turned out, she’s ready to relive the process and its challenges with Marcus Jordan.

When asked about the challenges of the process, the RHOM star was more than happy to take on the responsibility. “Yeah, it’s fun. I feel like my favorite title is to be a mom.” The best part? Larsa Pippen believes her beau would be great at navigating parenthood, especially because of his connection to her kids.

Michael Jordan’s son is “an easy fit” in the Pippen family

There’s no doubt that Marcus Jordan is the one for Larsa Pippen if her confessions on The Real Housewives of Miami are anything to go by. When one of the Housewives set an alarm to check on her boyfriend, Pippen said, “I can’t even imagine having to set an alarm to remind me to call Marcus. He’s always on my mind, always in my heart.” Turns out, he’s also just as much a part of Larsa’s family.

In the interview with Us Weekly, Pippen revealed, “[My kids] love Marcus. I feel like we talk about the same things. When I’m talking to my older son Scotty about basketball, Marcus is in on the conversation. [When I’m] talking to my son Preston about fashion—Marcus has a clothing store—so he chimes in. It’s just an easy fit for our family.” And the question of maybe adding to the family?

Pippen addressed that on the Separation Anxiety podcast, telling Jordan, “If you want to have kids, you would be a great dad.” Given how things are moving for the couple, a significant announcement seems likely in the future. Whether it be marriage, living together, or even a baby, the possibilities for the two lovebirds are endless.

One take at a time

My earliest memories of a connection to basketball was through its popularity in my school. Eventually, that gave way to a genuine passion for the sport and the rest, is history. Whether it be gameplay, the tactics, the narratives, or the sheer art on display, the game speaks to me in a way few other things can.
