“It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.” This quote resonates strongly when it comes to La La Anthony. The former wife of NBA star Carmelo Anthony, La La has committed her life to making a difference, particularly for young people from Rikers Island. Now, with her ThreeSixty team by her side, La La is back on the island, determined to once again transform the lives of many.

La La Anthony’s actions speak louder than words. In her latest Instagram story, she shared an image of the correctional department at Rikers Island, with a clear message: nothing will stop her from doing the good work she set out to do. Her mission is to offer mentorship and support to the young men incarcerated at Rikers Island. La La understands that these young lives are at a critical crossroads, and she’s there to help them find a better path forward.

La La sent a clear message to her team in her story. Her caption said it all, We have a lot of work to do here today 🙏🏿 TEAM THREESIXTY”. Well, that’s La La for you. Focused, driven, and not slowing down until the work is done.

La La Anthony’s ThreeSixty initiative equips young men with real skills they can use both inside and after their release. La La is all about giving them the tools to turn their lives around. For her, this isn’t just a program—it’s a movement, and she’s fully committed to making it count. And by the way, ThreeSixty isn’t the only way she helps people.

La La Anthony: Leading with purpose to make a difference

La La Anthony is all about action as she wastes no time when an opportunity arises to make a tangible impact on society. Last year, she demonstrated her dedication to the community by hosting her 7th annual Winter Wonderland event in the Bronx. On December 11, La La transformed the Gaucho Gym in Mott Haven into a holiday wonderland for 400 kids, ages 8 to 16. The event was filled with games, gifts, and festive cheer for the kids.

But La La didn’t stop there. She used the event to highlight a tough truth. That is the holidays aren’t a magical time for everyone. She said, “The holidays area great time, but I think sometimes we forget that doesn’t mean it’s a great time for everyone.”. She continued, “Families are struggling, people are struggling, and the holidays could just be a reminder of what families don’t have or what families need.”

La La Anthony’s son and best friend, is following in his father’s footsteps and pursuing his basketball dreams. And where better to start than Syracuse University, the same place Carmelo Anthony dominated for one year and led the team to the 2003 championship? While La La already misses her son, she’s not letting that slow her down. Her work continues full steam ahead. We’re cheering for you, La La! Keep spreading love and doing the incredible work that’s changing lives.
