Even though the game remains ever-competitive, with a few nail-biters in the first weekend itself, the entertainment has become just as integral a part of the presentation. So, to see Tom Brady, universally regarded as the GOAT, join in on the festivities was a sight to behold. So much so that the legend’s activities caught a fan in the Shaquille O’Neal household.

Even though Brady was a constant nuisance for the family’s favorite Dallas Cowboys, it seems like greatness recognizes greatness.

The first weekend of a new NFL season is already over. While the day saw some scintillating action, it might be something off the field that gets the nation talking. After more than 20 years as a part of the league, Tom Brady called it quits over the summer. However, he remained close to the league that gave him his GOAThood as an analyst.

But, in a return to football season, Brady had something special in mind. As the New England Patriots got ready for a battle with last year’s runner-up Philadelphia Eagles, a familiar name was donning their jersey.

Taking off his suit jacket to reveal a jersey underneath, TB-12 took another lap of the field. As the fans went crazy for the return of an old hero, the joy on Thomas Patrick Edward Brady Jr.’s face was evident. So much so that the clip found a way into the Shaq household as Shaqir shared the clip of Brady making his return on Instagram.

For those unfamiliar, the Los Angeles Lakers legend is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Unfortunately, the Cowboys were a team that Brady gave fierce competition to throughout his career. Further, after a shift to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, that animosity grew even larger between the Conference rivals. But, an all-time great like Shaq can understand the emotion of a legend returning “home”.

The Return

After spending the vast majority of his career in New England, Brady sought out newer pastures. Shifting to Tampa Bay, the 46-year-old was successful in his next stop as well. However, there is no place quite like home. Returning as an analyst, Brady couldn’t wait to put on the old jersey.

“I haven’t put this on in a while but it still feels pretty good I’ll tell you that,” said the 7x Super Bowl Champion to sideline reporters. While one legend made his triumphant return, another showed his appreciation for Brady’s greatness.
