During a recent interview with People, Shaquille O’Neal revealed why he gave up on his “first love” of playing football. While adding that he would have eventually become a tight end for the Dallas Cowboys if he continued with football, O’Neal said that if the team made it to the Super Bowl, then he would show up “wearing cowboy boots with a cowboy hat.”

Now the 4x champion has moved on and is focusing on giving the fans the time of their lives with Shaq’s Fun House music festival.

Shaq further added that his father also played a role in his changing sports. His dad showed him an article that made him realize how much money an average NBA player makes. This was enough for a young Shaq to decide that it was time for him to switch from football to basketball.
