Despite being one of the greatest players in the history of basketball, Shaquille O’Neal grew up being a football fan. As the Los Angeles Lakers legend is already set to host one of the biggest Super Bowl parties ever during the upcoming Super Bowl weekend, Shaq recently revealed that he would make a special entrance to the game if his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, made it to Las Vegas.

However, the Cowboys were sadly eliminated from the postseason in the first round by the Green Bay Packers. But Shaq was ready to give his fans a visual treat during Super Bowl LVIII.

During a recent interview with People, Shaquille O’Neal revealed why he gave up on his “first love” of playing football. While adding that he would have eventually become a tight end for the Dallas Cowboys if he continued with football, O’Neal said that if the team made it to the Super Bowl, then he would show up “wearing cowboy boots with a cowboy hat.”
