Even Kevin Garnett was completely baffled by the list, immediately going after his former teammate. But, the conversation first came to the guest on their podcast, Nick Kyrgios.

The tennis star has long been a huge basketball fan and his passion was evident throughout the episode. As he would post a clip of his highlights as he sits out due to injury, KG would return to the same fandom. Sharing the clip to his story, Garnett wrote, “Just nick being nick… he different with it.”

Even though highly controversial, Kyrgios’ talent is undeniable. But, if it wasn’t for his parents, the superstar might have had a completely different trajectory. Despite excelling at the sport, Nick’s first love wasn’t tennis.

Instead, it was the sport where he’s sparked a million conversations – basketball. “I don’t really like the sport of tennis that much. I don’t love it. It was crazy when I was 14, I was all for basketball and I made the decision to play tennis.”

“I got pushed by my parents and to this day, I can still say I don’t love the sport. It’s good when you’re out there on a tennis court. There’s nowhere to hide. It’s all you, tactically, physically, mentally; but I just love basketball. I love the sport. I always have.” 

With the endorsement from The Big Ticket, is another collaboration between the two sides incoming? The last one led to a remarkable episode and discussion, so fans would be in line for another round.

For two legends so in tune with each other and basketball commentary, NBA Championship-winning teammates Pierce and KG could not be further apart when it comes to dissecting LeBron James. Paul was unwilling to include James in the top 5 of the current players.
