An iconic series of signature shoes
After initially starting his career with Adidas, Kobe Bryant made the pivotal move to Nike in 2003, to what would become an iconic series of signature shoes known as the Nike Kobe line. One of the most revolutionary moments in sneaker history came with the release of the Kobe 4 during the 2008-09 season. This model popularized low-top shoes across the NBA, breaking down barriers and becoming a popular option for players of all positions.

Even after his retirement in 2016, Kobe’s association with Nike continued. Both the parties signed a five-year endorsement extension contract designed to span into his retirement years. However, when the deal with Nike expired on April 13, 2022, discussions about a potential lifetime deal like with Michael Jordan and LeBron James emerged. Unfortunately, it was reported that the Bryant estate and Nike did not reach an agreement. However, the Kobe Bryant Estate successfully secured a new long-term contract with Nike in 2022.
