Los Angeles Lakers legend Pau Gasol appears to be fully immersed in the festive spirit. As fans wonder about how their beloved sports stars will celebrate Christmas, the Spaniard offered a glimpse of his celebration to his followers. Amidst the festive preparations, the 6x NBA All-Star amusingly decided to pull his son’s leg. He also shared the hilarious story with his followers. 

Apart from being a reliable uncle to the Bryant family, Gasol is also a father to 2 young kids. As such, you can imagine that he has his hands full during Christmas. Literally!

Pau Gasol’s brutal honesty about Christmas upsets son

Taking to his X account, the legend shared a humorous snap of him holding his one-year-old son in his arms. As seen on the post, the little one has a serious expression on his face. The reason behind his expression is revealed by the 2x NBA champion in the caption.  The post was captioned, “Just told him Santa is not coming until Sunday“ along with a Santa emoji.

As mentioned, the delay in Santa’s arrival is the reason behind this big frown on his son’s face. Turns out Gasol’s son is not the only one. Many comments on the post agreed with the little man. 

Pau Gasol and his wife Catherine McDonnell also share a daughter, 3-year-old daughter, Elisabet Gianna. The couple welcomed their son in 2022 and the 2x NBA champion shared the news to his followers with a heartwarming message. Gasol wrote, “We are beyond happy to welcome our son to the world. Everything has gone really well and we are officially a family of 4!”

He was not alone in his celebration. Vanessa and Kobe Bryant‘s eldest daughter Natalia also shared an adorable message for the two. After all, Gasol couple share a wholesome relationship with the Bryant family.

Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant’s family share a close bond

Earlier, this year both the families went to Spain for Gasol’s daughter’s baptism ceremony. During this ceremony, Vanessa Bryant was named the godmother of little Elisabet Gianna. Heartwarmingly, the Gasols decided to dedicate their daughter’s middle name after Gianna Bryant as a tribute.

After their son’s birth, Pau Gasol shared a few words about his role as a father to People magazine. Speaking about raising his children, he said, “It sounds really all good theoretically, but you have to be…you’re responsible for a human being.”

The Spaniard added, “I like to be present with my children as much as I can, but I also want to do a lot of things because I have opportunities to do exceptional things.”
