Recently, Shaquille O’Neal highlighted a flaw in multiple NBA players, including Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.

Big Diesel took to his Instagram to deliver a barrage of travel and dribbling violations that NBA referees missed. The 2000 NBA MVP seemingly questioned how such bizarre violations were not called. Let’s gain a little more insight into this clip featuring a generational player.

LeBron James accused of getting away with infringement

NBA officiating is no straightforward job. Most calls are likely to disappoint one of two teams. However, fans often accuse the referees of blatantly missing obvious fouls or violations of the rule book. Shaq posted a clip displaying some horrendous calls missed by NBA officials. One such instance which was highlighted in the video was of one of the all-time greats, LeBron James.

During the clip, the King dribbles towards the half-court line. As soon as he crosses the line, he suddenly stops and holds the ball in his left hand. Then, strangely, he starts dribbling again.

The player guarding the 4-time NBA champion, Bojan Bogdanovic of the Utah Jazz, was in absolute disbelief over the violation not being called out. Nobody could believe that officials did not call a travel on LBJ over the dribbling misconduct. But did Shaq share the video to specifically highlight the King?

Shaq officially revealed an embarrassing moment of LeBron. Even more notably, James committed the violation while donning the sacred Purple & Gold. The clip revealed him getting away with a clear-cut travel as the referee didn’t blow his whistle.

Many other players in the league are seen taking advantage of this misjudgment by the officials. LeBron himself is known to have committed this error multiple times in his career. Superstars like James have often been alleged to get calls in their favor. Whether it’s being awarded free throws or not being called for a turnover, the advantage, it seems, lies with the bigger names.
