“Rookie” Tony Parker Enters $489.3 Billion Industry and Fulfills Life-Long Dream With Latest Venture: “I Just Fell in Love”

Over the years, NBA stars and veterans have done so much to expand their empire. One of the most common ventures for the NBA stars has been the alcohol business. The latest to join this venture is NBA veteran Tony Parker who had dreamt of having his own range of wine since he was 20 years old.
The 4x NBA champion recently talked about finally kickstarting his lifelong dream project. Parker said that this new business and its challenges are making him feel like a rookie again.
He said, “I felt like a rookie. I’m hands-on, and I love to be part of that tradition.” The Hall of Famer said that he has been dreaming about this business for a very long time and it’s finally a reality for him. He said, “Since age 20, I’ve dreamt of being in the wine business.” The 41-year-old said that his passion for this business has been on the backseat for a very long time because he was pursuing greatness, playing the sport he considers to be his “first love.” So, after a HoF-worthy career, it was time to get back to the boyhood dream, and the NBA veteran didn’t hesitate in admitting that it’s exhaustive work. He said, “[I] worked hard enough to realize my back was hurting.”

Parker also unveiled several firsts of his life, including his first wine, and the moment he decided he’d play in the big league one day.

Tony Parker unveils a life changing event
Like most people, Parker also grew up a Michael Jordan fan. Witnessing his hero perform on the court motivated Parker to take up basketball seriously. He was 9 years old when he first saw Jordan play for the first time. Although he wasn’t physically up there, Parker decided that he would be following in his idol’s footsteps and make a lucrative career out of it. The dream was big, but Parker was motivated enough to understand that he would be able to live that dream one day.

He said, “Back then, I was too small and skinny. I thought I’d never make it, but you have to dream big.” The NBA veteran revealed that he was 17 years old when he first had a taste of wine. By the age of 19, he was already living one of his dreams after signing with the San Antonio Spurs. That’s when he experienced “the good stuff” because he had money to afford it. After about two decades, he has his own wine.
