The future for the Chicago Bulls is very murky. After being the gold standard in the NBA for well over a decade, the team has enjoyed brief moments of relevance. However, at the turn of the 2020s, the team was ready to break through again. But, due to injuries and a lack of fit, the results haven’t gone according to plan. As a result, almost every player on the team is embroiled in trade rumors. Among them, one name in particular has the attention of Shaquille O’Neal.

“I just hope they trade Zach Lavine to a contender. He had a stretch there, where he was looking really good, especially when Lonzo Ball was healthy. It has to be hard for a player when you hear your name trading rumors-wise.”

Pointing to the difference between his scenario and Lavine’s current one, Shaq even had a call for action to the highlight reel dunker. “Like I was traded 5 times. But I didn’t know. I just got traded. But you’re here all year. I’m getting traded, I’m getting traded, getting traded. You should probably just go in there and say, ‘Hey, I’m not going to play until you trade me since you wanna trade me.'”

With rumors of a market dying down, despite earlier reports of the Los Angeles Lakers interest in Zach, could a trade come sooner rather than later? Or is the call for action a mastermind plan by the 7-footer to improve his old team?

With the team turning a new leaf, do they even want a union with the California native?

This is a developing story.

Whether it be gameplay, the tactics, the narratives, or the sheer art on display, the game speaks to me in a way few other things can.
