Since Shaquille O’Neal wears many hats, one thriving business has given him the perfect present this Christmas. Tip Happy Hats is a business designing and crafting fun and amazing fedoras. They now have a supporter in Shaq who is always helping small businesses expand. As a special gesture, Tip Happy Hats delivered a bale of hats to Shaq’s home. A side note: the creator behind Tip Happy Hats, Tex Rover, played ball against Shaq in high school.

In the accompanying Instagram reel, they wrote, “Let’s keep It rolling in to 2024!! Big thanks to Dr. O’Neal for supporting craftsmen from many disciplines.” Rover drove to O’Neal’s Atlanta mansion with the Superman gate and surprised the giant in his questionable Christmas fashion of a stained grey tee and funky tiger-printed drawers (his daughter is going to be mad). “That’s right, y’all see him, Shaq’s in tiger-striped drawers,” he told the viewers.

The makers know that Shaq doesn’t accept Christmas presents and he told them so at the door but he was pleasantly surprised by the five fedoras specially handcrafted for him. He tried on each hat and every one of them brought out his swagger. He was satisfied with the new fashion items and his dance moves that the videographer complimented him with a, “Still got it.”

I don’t usually take stuff on Christmas,” Shaq said a few times. But Tip Happy Hats changed his mind from the first hat presented to him. Shaq loved the dashing style so much, he hushed any attempt at narration. Just wearing one of the custom-made handcrafted millinery triggered a suave walk. He was intrigued enough to ask to see more.

The subsequent hats made his shoulders shimmy and feet groove. “That’s a burgundy,” he declared before his hat model debut but it’s the “dude brown” that got a megawatt smile to go with the moves. The last one in a dapper purple might be his favorite because it brought out the electric shuffle before he put it on.

Shaquille O’Neal’s stern Christmas policy

In the past, Shaq would tell his family and friends,If you show me a movie where Santa receives the gifts, then I receive a gift.” Instead, he organizes Shaq-a-Claus his holiday giveaway event for kids and does spontaneous acts of kindness like putting a Forever 21 store full of shoppers’ purchases on his tab.

He enjoyed the hats so much for the first time since he debuted Shaq-a-Claus, Shaquille O’Neal has happily received presents for once. “I don’t usually take things for Christmas, but I’m taking this one,” Shaq said about his new millinery. That’s a huge feat by Tip Happy Hats.

One take at a time

I was 7 when I saw 'Space Jam' but didn't know till the third rewatch the lead actor is actually a living basketball legend. It was while studying journalism that my friend would go on about the Warriors from Golden State. Keen on athletes' personas outside their arenas, it was Stephen Curry's confidence and philanthropy that drew me to follow the news on NBA pros and explore sports media.
