“Should Be a National Holiday”: LeBron James’ 39000 Points Milestone Triggers a Demand from 1X NBA Champ
With a 3-pointer in the opening minutes of the first quarter, he has done it. While he took over sole possession of most points in NBA history, LeBron James is now the only player with 39,000 points. Even though it’s been an inevitability for some point, that does not take away from the sheer magnitude of the moment.
Whether fan or critic, one has to appreciate the greatness on display by LeBron. As congratulatory wishes pour in for the ‘King’ from all over the world, a former Lakers star takes to his social media to give his take on the ‘Greatest of All-Time’ debate.

LeBron James sits alone on the throne
Despite being the oldest player in the league, LeBron James has been a model of consistency this season as well. Whether it be on the offensive or defensive end, the 4-time MVP continues to be the anchor of the young Lakers squad. The 38-year-old Lakers superstar has been extremely effective on the court this season, averaging 25.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game! His current pace is relatively dangerous, and he shows no signs of slowing down. That excellence led to a relatively quiet celebration in the arena when he achieved the 39,000 points milestone in the Lakers’ win against the Utah Jazz.
