The Air Jordans have been a cultural trend for several decades now. When these iconic sneakers were released back in the ’90s, fans would buy them just for the name attached; Michael Jordan. Does that still ring true? Nike, which holds a net worth of $143 billion, has a few amusing ambassadors and familiar faces to promote it. So, who has the most attraction? Is it still Jordan? WWE legend Triple H, who went sneaker shopping with Complex, has a name in his mind who, perhaps, is more important to the Jordan brand than the Chicago Bulls legend himself.

The Complex has roped in stars from various industries for their famous sneaker shopping trend on YouTube. Triple H was one such, who joined this latest episode to speak about the sneaker influence in WWE. The host questioned, “What do you think about Travis’s cultural impact?”, while Triple H was busy analyzing a few Travis x Jordans.

The 54-year-old replied, “Look it’s massive. When you have somebody at his level that can say, ‘Hey this is cool’, and that’s the biggest thing that’s there. In some way, and I’ve heard them say it, so I’m not saying anything, that I made up. But like in a way, he might be more important to the brand than Michael is right now…His ear is on the ground all time”

That’s a bold claim from Triple H, and many seem to agree with him in the comments. Rather notably, his sneaker purchase on the show had one of the most famous crossovers of the Jordan brand and Travis Scott.

Triple H’s single largest purchase from the sneaker shopping episode is the Jordan x Travis

The WWE legend got a hefty bill after he was done choosing his favorite sneakers. He chose a total of 8 pairs and obviously, there was a pair of Jordan’s. Triple H’s total bill was $4,472 for the 8 new pairs he purchased. The most expensive single purchase was the Travis Scott x Michael Jordan 1 Black Phantom, which cost $1200.

Shoes are a symbol of style in the NBA. Triple H assured that is the case in WWE as well. In fact, the flex is not just on camera, but behind it too. The 54-year-old shared, “It’s not just a flex on TV, it’s a flex in the locker room”. With that being said, Triple H also awaits the Jordan brand to collaborate with a few WWE stars. Who do you think that the Chicago Bulls icon might want to team up with next?
