It’s quite common for Charles Barkley to criticize things he’s not particularly fond of. Chuck never hesitates when he has an opinion about something or someone. He doesn’t even spare his close associates. Recently, during one of his appearances on the TNT show, he seemed to have aimed another dig at his favorite enemy, the man who sarcastically invited Charles onto his show a few months ago; Skip Bayless.

Rather than retaliating in a similar fashion, this time, the analyst known for his LeBron James slander opted for a unique and subtle approach.

Skip Bayless’s unique response to Charles Barkley

During the season opener, Charles Barkley & Co. were in Denver to celebrate the champions. It was then that Sir Charles dropped a comment, referring to “these TV fools” during a conversation, sparking an immediate reaction. Of course, fans had a few guesses as to who Chuck could be referring to. And it didn’t take long to guess Skip Bayless.

Fans are no strangers to the ongoing verbal sparring between Sir Charles and Skip. The sports commentator renowned for his unrelenting critique of The King, LeBron James, often finds himself on the receiving end of Barkley’s verbal jabs. Nevertheless, Skip can dish it out as well as he can take it.

Taking to X, Bayless responded, “Pretty sure Barkley just took another shot at me… ‘these fools on TV.’ Thank you for watching Undisputed so faithfully, Chuck.” 

In addition to his comedic gratitude, Bayless previously extended a sarcastic olive branch by inviting Sir Charles to be part of the “Undisputed” show.

Bayless offered to pay Barkley’s salary

After the departure of co-host Shannon Sharpe, Skip made a public call for Charles Barkley to join his show “Undisputed”.

Despite their nearly two-decade-long feud, Bayless even pledged to personally fund Chuck’s salary for this prospect back in August. Though, his exact words were, “

While the odds of both of them appearing on the same show seem improbable, the idea of them sharing the screen is undeniably intriguing. For fans, the thought of how the dynamics would play out if these two iconic figures were to come together in a single show is quite an enticing prospect.
