An NBA legend took the opportunity to express his amusement over this mysteriously odd combo of sports, which totally gels along well together.

The 15-time NBA All-Star posted a video shared by a FootGolf professional representing Spain in the World Cup. The video showcased the highlights of Piero Menor celebrating different shots that he took against Malaysia in the quarter-finals of the FootGolf World Cup, 2023.

 

KG just couldn’t resist expressing his feelings over this quirky sport. The 4x rebounding champion posted the clip of the Spanish International via his Instagram stories. The Big Ticket wrote alongside the post, “Yooooooo wait did I miss somin? SOCCER GOLF MY GUY? Say word? Where? How? tf,” which was followed by two laughing emojis. But what is the sport about?

The sport as we know it today dawned into existence in 2008 in the Netherlands. After this initiative, the game started to grow exceptionally as more and more countries started to get involved in setting up their own tournaments.

FootGolf emerged to be a globally recognized game after the establishment of its governing body called Federation For International FootGolf (FIFG) in 2012. The first World Cup of the sport was conducted the same year after the birth of FIFG in Hungary.
