Back in college basketball, Shaquille O’Neal was as remarkable as he was in his NBA days. He played at the Louisiana State University for three years and led the team to the NCAA tournament every season. Three of his children share his love of basketball and continue to follow their dreams.
As a big question looms over O’Neal’s daughter’s college selection, the big man unites with NCAA star Angle Reese’s favorite, the LSU women’s basketball team’s head coach.

While the big man’s eldest Shareef O’Neal is ruling the G-league, the youngest Shaqir O’Neal plays for the Texas Southern Tigers. His daughters are also set on making their own names.

Taking to his Instagram, the big man shared a picture of him hanging out with the LSU women’s basketball’s head coach Kim Mulkey. He captioned the post, “Just two champs chilling.”
Fans wonder if this is any indication of his daughter Me’Arah’s college selections. It won’t be a surprise given the young athlete has quickly taken over the basketball world with her exceptional skills.

Coach Mulkey had previously offered Me’Arah a spot on the LSU team. The brightest star of the team and basketball Angel Reese has also made good use of her social handle. Through her social posts, she declared that she would be happy to have Me’Arah on the team.

The post comes just days after the coach’s health issues.

Kim Mulkey is recovering from heart disease
As the head of LSU’s women’s basketball, the coach has always prioritized her team before anything. But being a former athlete, she is well aware of how much it is important for an athlete to maintain proper health. And that includes regular checkups as well.
Thanks to her strict health maintenance, she was saved from a potentially dangerous heart disease. As she began to notice minor health issues such as bleeding, her prior health check prevented a serious disease. The 61-year-old had to go through surgery to put in two stents to deal with a heart artery that was almost blocked.
