Mavericks’ Star Luka Doncic Bids Goodbye to His ‘Amazing’ 2020 NBA Season

Last night, the Dallas Mavericks’ playoff run was ended by the Los Angeles Clippers. After a valiant effort, the Mavs lasted six games and bowed out. Leading the Mavs single-handedly was 21-year-old Luka Doncic, who was the star of the show.
Despite it being his first-ever playoff series, Doncic played like an experienced veteran. He averaged 31 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game in the six games. With Kristaps Porzingis out with an injury, the 2019-20 Rookie of the Year had a huge burden to bear. He did his best to carry the team, but it wasn’t enough.

Game 4 was one of the most exciting games in the series, thanks to Doncic. He scored a whopping 43 points and grabbed 17 rebounds and 13 assists and finished it off with a buzzer-beater to win the game. We may not be able to watch the young magician any further, but in these six games, he has already given fans many iconic moments to look back.

Post Game 6, Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was all praise for Doncic.

Doncic was impressive throughout the regular season as well. Averaging 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists, he led them to a playoff spot for the first time since 2016. After winning Rookie of the Year last season, he is now in the running for Most Improved Player. He has had a huge increase in all of his stats and is a favorite to win the award.

He is already one of best young players in the league. As he enters his third season, he is only going to get better. The talent he has displayed has shown that he is on his way to becoming one of the all-time greats in the league.
