An Insane LeBron James Streak That Could Come to an End During the 2021 NBA Playoffs

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James prides himself on his durability. He never misses games unless he has to and is always one of the most reliable players on the team.
Sadly for him, with age catching up, he is now getting injured more frequently. This season, he missed over 20 games for the first time in his career. Last night against the Pelicans, he left the game with an injury. Although the Lakers confirmed it was a minor injury, it was still concerning.
Because of all of these factors, this could potentially end an insane LeBron record. Since his postseason debut in 2006, King James has missed zero playoff games due to injury. He is always fit and available on the big stage, which is an important reason behind his 10 NBA Finals appearances.

Why is LeBron James’ record in danger?
LeBron’s frequent injuries this season now endanger that record. Since the start of the season, he has been dealing with ankle problems. Except for a few games where he was rested, these ankle issues are the main reason behind his 27-game absence in the 2020-21 season.
Following his injury in March, LeBron returned to action only by the end of April. But two games into his return, he had to sit out once again. He returned for the final two games of the season to get valuable game time before playoffs. But his new injury has added to the worries for the Lakers. So what will be the consequences if it happens?

The Lakers have a two-headed monster in LeBron and Anthony Davis. Even when LeBron has been out of action, Davis has shown he can lead the team. However, doing that in the playoffs won’t be as easy.
LeBron is the best player on the team undoubtedly, but Playoff LeBron is a different animal. His presence can make a lottery team like the Cavs look like a Finals contender so that shows how important he is to every team he plays for. Additionally, the Lakers lack a true playmaker aside from LeBron, which is another reason why they cannot afford to lose him to injury.
