Dallas Mavericks gave a smashing comeback against LA Clippers to even the playoff series in Game 2. Luka Doncic and Co. were leading the quarters from the very beginning. And Clippers only managed to step up their game towards the end that proved to be quite late.

Luka Doncic was on a spree bagging 42 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds in 38 minutes. He was shooting a commendable 13/21 from the field.  Moreover, the young man converted 14 out of 15 free throws in the match. After a controversial decision of getting ejected in the last game, Kristaps Porzingis dropped in 14 points and 6 rebounds.

The Clippers were trailing behind Mavs in the entire match. Paul George was struggling to gain form throughout the game without scoring a single point till halftime. Kawhi Leonard tried to save the face of his team with 29 points from every corner, but in vain.

Montrezl Harrell was looking to regain form in the match including the fouls he drew from the opponents.

Luka Doncic and Co. will be looking forward to a series win

Clippers’ bench strength led by Lou Williams is considered one of the best in the league but Mavericks have accepted that challenge. Despite having benched Luka in most part of the last quarter, Mavs were impressive with a double-digit lead.

Mavericks star player, Luka Doncic ‘believes’ his team can turn this series in their favor. When asked about how much confidence he has in this scenario, Luka seemed quite confident.

“Yeah, for sure. Any series that we’re going to go in, we’re going to believe, for sure. If you don’t believe it, you’re not supposed to be here, so you’d better believe it.” he said.

It was an unexpected poor show from Clippers at both, the offensive and defensive end. The bench players did try to pull it together for the team, but they were too late to close the gap on the scoreboard.  Let’s see who will take the series lead from here on in Game 3.
