Where do the New York Knicks stand?
The New York Knicks, despite a rich history of greats like Patrick Ewing, Carmelo Anthony, and more, have failed to do anything substantial of late. The reasons of their inability to rise are plenty, but despite them, they remain the most valued franchise in NBA at the moment. Players like LeBron James and Kevin Durant have showcased interest in playing for the Knicks in the past. Obviously, very few actually dared to make the switch. Even more than the team, its arena, called the Madison Square Garden, remains NBA’s finest stadium, one where every major NBA star loves playing.
The Knicks were yet again one of the worst teams in the regular season. As a result, they haven’t made the cut for Orlando. They now have to focus on having a better off-season than last year. In the 2019 Free Agency, they missed out on big-hitters like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Kawhi Leonard.

They need to finalize a head coach, after being under an interim since December. There have been around eight to nine coaches on their shortlist, and Lakers’ assistant Jason Kidd looks like one of the leading candidates. Kidd worked closely with last year’s MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. If they hire Kidd, the Knicks will be hoping he can bring along with him the MVP, who will be a free agent in 2021.
