Prior to the season restart in Orlando, some free agents are eagerly waiting for an opportunity. One of them is Isaiah Thomas, who is hoping for a fresh start in the league. He recently received a confidence-booster from his former Boston Celtics teammate, Marcus Smart, who openly stated that Thomas was one of his “favorite” teammates ever.
A few days ago, Isaiah Thomas had retweeted a post by CBS Sports that showcased his statistics in 2016-17. His tweet read, “NOBODY UNDER 6ft comes close”. Back then, he was averaging 28.9 PPG 5.9 APG 46.3 FG% and 37.9 3P%. In the same year, Isaiah placed fifth in the MVP race.
In response to this, Celtics point guard Marcus Smart posted a picture with him and wrote, “Best to ever do it under 6’ my brother”.
