Journalist Reveals Duncan Robinson Had Ruled Out Basketball, Had Enquired for a Journalism Role

The Miami Heat is heading to the NBA Finals 2020 against the LeBron-led Los Angeles Lakers. Adding to Jimmy Butler’s leadership, Duncan Robinson has been a significant contributor to Maimi’s road to Finals. But had one asked Robinson three years back, he was probably busy deviating away from basketball.
Duncan went undrafted in the 2008 NBA draft and rather signed an NBA Summer League contract with Miami Heat. But as his career proceeded, he’s been a key player for Heat. Robinson averaged 13.5 points per game in the regular season this year.
Simply, the opportunity of playing alongside a star man like Jimmy Butler has brought out the better side of Robinson. Now the Heat is in the Finals and Duncan has made it that far with the likes of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.

Duncan Robinson never imagined playing with Miami Heat in 2017
Former Ohio State basketball player, Mark Titus revealed in a recent tweet how Duncan was far from the dream of making a Finals appearance in 2017. The Heat shooting guard contacted Mark, looking to go forward in the field of sports journalism.

Surely, ‘what a world’ it is. Duncan will be part of the Finals this year, recognized as one of the prominent ones in the NBA.
