The Los Angeles Lakers meant business during the 2020 offseason. They offloaded several talents but brought in massive reinforcements as well. Montrezl Harrell is NBA’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year, and he is a tough player. LeBron James loves to team up alongside talents like him, and the King is overjoyed with the Lakers’ newest member.
James recently appeared on Spectrum SportsNet’s Road Trippin’ show, where he expressed his delight at Harrell’s arrival to the 17x champs.

“First of all, Trez was a next-door neighbor. We knocked on his door and said, ‘Do you like what’s going on here?’ We knocked on his door and we landed Trez,” LeBron mentioned.
LeBron brilliantly convinced Harrell to sign with his team by singing their praise. They outshined rivals Clippers the previous season, and James brought that up as a case for him to switch teams.
The 4x MVP kept it real about what the Lakers lacked previously and why Harrell’s signing is a major boost.

LeBron James wants to have a chat with Marc Gasol about the 2013 DPOY award
LeBron James has never won the DPOY award in his career. However, he came incredibly close to winning it in 2013 only for Marc Gasol to finish ahead and spoil his party. LeBron still considers it to be a major snub and feels that he should’ve won the award.

Several questions were raised about the NBA awards’ authenticity as 2013 DPOY winner Marc Gasol didn’t even make the All-Defensive first team that year. However, it is all in the past. But LeBron cheekily taunted his new teammate on the Road Trippin’ show.
“Marc [Gasol] has my Defensive Player of the Year trophy at his house, but that’s not here or there. I love you, Marc! I can’t wait to talk about this,” expressed LeBron.
