LeBron James is arguably one of the best players the NBA has ever seen. Having won 4 MVPs and Finals MVPs, one could easily make an argument about ‘The King’ being the G.O.A.T.

LBJ tweeted a throwback video earlier today. This was an interview he had done with ESPN back in 2002. In the tweet, he wrote, “Appreciative and honored for all those who laid the groundwork before me! Even this #YoungKing appreciated it!”

In the interview when asked about how he felt about being compared to Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson a 17-year-old LeBron says, “It strikes me with a lot of passion and I work even harder to get to the level that Magic, Michael, Bird, Julius and now that Kobe and Tracy are in the league now.”

He added, “Everyone when they were younger, they wanted to fly like Jordan, wanted to dish no-look passes like Magic, wanted to jump out of the gym like Julius, wanted to shoot like Bird.

“It’s great to be compared to some of the greats. And when I look at that I say I want to be like Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, not on the court but off the court.”

This just says how confident LeBron has been throughout his career. He has had his doubters, but rather than speaking trash to them, LBJ has let his game do the talking.

An NBA player playing in his 18th year who is still able to lead his team to a championship is something special.

LeBron James signs an extension with the champions

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t made any comment about the re-signing of Anthony Davis till now. While every Lakers fan is eagerly awaiting an update, in a shocking turn of events their other star LeBron James has signed a contract extension.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that James had signed a 2-year max extension. He wrote, “Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has agreed to a two-year, $85 million maximum contract extension with the franchise, CEO of Klutch Sports, Rich Paul, told”

This sees LeBron James playing till he is 40 years old. Hypothetically long enough to see his son being drafted in the NBA. ‘The King’ has not shown any signs of slowing down.
