James Harden fans are checking the news nonstop. Woj reported that Harden is considering leaving the Houston Rockets. After coach Mike D’Antoni and Rockets GM Daryl Morey left their position, Harden is unsure what direction the Rockets want to go in.
Additionally, rumors say Russell Westbrook also wants to leave to an offense where he has more of the ball in his hands. Things look very bleak for the Houston Rockets, who seem close to blowing up the whole operation and beginning a rebuild.
Yet, the news of Harden possibly leaving is the worst-case scenario for Rockets fans. Harden is one of the greatest players in the history of the Rockets franchise. He brought the Rockets out of a major slump and made them consistent playoffs and finals contenders.

However, the one knock on Harden was his inability to win a championship. Despite being paired up with superstars such as Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, and now Russell Westbrook, he always fell one or two steps short.
While Rockets fans will be reluctant to admit it, the truth is that Harden is unlikely to win a championship in Houston, especially with the makeup of this roster. Further, rebuilding a new roster around Harden without rebuild-master Daryl Morey is not easy.
There are teams that are interested in Harden. While he is 31 years of age, he is still playing at an MVP level. In an efort to seemingly prove this point, Harden again led the NBA in scoring this past regular season, showing he still has what it takes.
