NBA Trade Rumors: Giannis Antetokounmpo Wants Bucks to Approach Chris Paul

Giannis Antetokounmpo could win his second NBA MVP award in a few days for his regular-season heroics. The Greek Freak led the Bucks to first-seed in the East, along with a league-best record of 56-17. But the tables turned against the Bucks in the postseason.
They were shown the door out of Playoffs by Miami Heat in just the second round. Giannis could not lead his team to a deep playoff run for back-to-back years. As a result, rumors are forming that Giannis’ time with the franchise could be limited.
However, Giannis claims that he wants to stay with the franchise, but so did Durant about the Thunder and Irving about the Celtics. Later on, the players changed their minds and left the franchise.

Recently, Giannis had a long meeting with Bucks management, and according to NBA insider Brandon Robinson, the Greek Freak wants the franchise more help to the team.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s meeting with Bucks ownership over the weekend also included the Greek Freak giving a list of desired players of whom he’d like to be teammates with.

There is no official word regard Giannis’ request, but Scoop B’s sources believe Chris Paul is a top target for the Bucks. Paul had a great redemption season with the OKC against all odds. Moreover, CP3 and OKC pushed the Rockets to seven games in the first round of the postseason.
Paul was a major catalyst for the epic 2019-20 season, but his career is nearing its end. And Paul has never won a championship ring in his long career. Joining forces with Giannis could enhance Paul’s chances of retiring as an NBA champ.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Chris Paul to form a dynamic duo in Milwaukee?
Chris Paul had a great season for a 35-year-old, but the Thunder are probably on the road to a rebuilding phase. Following the Playoffs exit, head coach Billy Donovan parted ways with the franchise. CP3 could be next in line as Paul’s huge contract could hinder thunder’s rebuilding hopes.

But do the Bucks have enough assets to acquire Paul through a trade? As a matter of fact, they can easily acquire CP3, if that is indeed what both franchises want.

The most plausible trade scenario for both teams would be if Thunder receives Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, Donte DiVincenzo, Robin Lopez, and a future first-round pick for Chris Paul.

The trade would help the Bucks in their quest for the NBA title. The core of Giannis, Middleton, and Paul looks like a championship-caliber roster on paper. On the other hand, the Thunder already have five Clippers picks from the Paul George trade, and adding these players to the roster will give young talent a chance to flourish.
What do you think? Will this trade work? Or will the Bucks hunt for any other star player?
