He revealed how they sat on the bench and planned how to make way for themselves. The former Trail Blazers star said, “They’re playing in front of us? Really?’ That was me and Bron’s mentality.”

Well, it was tough for the sophomores to take a stand in front of the experienced. Carmelo didn’t back off from telling how the youngsters weren’t shown a path to success. and were just left on their own.

Of course, the competitive spirit was bound to come across. But they were just one-year-old rookies who wanted to show the world what they are worthy of.

Jefferson had a solid comeback for Carmelo Anthony

Richard Jefferson, one of those veterans wasn’t staying quiet. He had a brutal comeback for Carmelo and his fellow 2003 drafts.

The likes of Richard Jefferson, Shawn Marion, and Allen Iverson formed the veterans of the USA Olympic team back in 2004. Richard seemed offended by Carmelo’s revelation.

So, he tweeted in response to Anthony’s comment saying, “They weren’t even in the top 30 of people that were selected.” That is clearly rubbing in their faces. Now we know, the competition was correctly highlighted by Anthony.

Richard played alongside LeBron during his 2015-17 stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The only NBA title he won was with the Cavaliers in 2016.

The experienced bunch of stars brought a bronze medal for the USA team that year. The three freshmen who stepped in NBA went on to achieve great heights in their respective careers. LeBron is now a legend of the sport. Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony are also considered amongst the NBA greats.

Well, Carmelo clearly stated his and LeBron’s intentions previously and Jefferson had a quick comeback for him. So, will Carmelo back off or he’s looking forward to a fierce reply?
