Back in 1996, Michael Jordan featured in an animated sports comedy film, Space Jam. The eighth episode of ‘The Last Dance’ focused on Jordan’s days shooting that film. Indiana Pacers star, Reggie Miller says MJ was ‘like a vampire’ in those days due to exhaustion.
Space Jam starred Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny as the main characters with other Loony Tunes stars. The likes of Billy West and Wayne Knight were also part of the Warner Bros star-studded film. The recent episode of Jordan’s documentary released some behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot. The viewers are going insane over that.
To keep up with his basketball regime, the Bulls legend trained in a fully-equipped basketball court on the set itself. He signed a contract with Warner Bros called ‘Jordan Dome’ by Joe Pytka, the director of the film. Michael told on Last Dance, “I said look, I need to practice, I need a facility where I can work out. [They said], ‘Oh don’t worry about that. We can build you that.’ And sure enough, when we got out there, it was all set up.”

MJ used to play for three hours in the ‘Jordan Dome’ with the rest of the players and workout for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. He had to get back to shooting on the set as well. The routine became quite hectic for the NBA star.
Reggie Miller remembers those games in the dome as ‘some of the best games’. “There were no officials, so you were calling your own fouls. So it was a little more rugged and raw. I don’t know how he did it,” Miller talked on Last Dance. “I don’t know how he had the energy to film all day and then still play three hours. We would play until like 9 or 10 at night, and he still had to get weightlifting in, and his call time was like at 6 or 7 in the morning.”
