This season has been a show of brilliance from the Lakers, making them one of the major title contenders. After a distasteful loss in their first Playoff game, LeBron James and Anthony Davis came back strong in Game 2 against Blazers.
Lakers have had a tremendous season with top performances from the Bigs as well as some young ones. 25-year-old Kyle Kuzma and his partner Alex Caruso have completed the right combination of players. While Kuzma is always up for spilling in threes, Caruso is on every end of the court looking for steals.
In competition with the Eastern Milwaukee Bucks, Lakers were a strong side throughout the season until its suspension. The seeding games in the Bubble saw quite a disappointing show from the team that hovered doubts over their form. Lakers won just three out of eight games before the Playoffs began.

Game 1 of the postseason continued a falling trend for the team with a 100-93 defeat to the Blazers. However, they weren’t going to be grounded for long. In Game 2, the Lakers unleashed their playoff spirit to win it with a massive 23-point lead. Anthony Davis, who was questioned over his form in Orlando, led the victory, scoring 31 points.

“We got a chance [to win the title]…We got a chance to do something special this year. And all, Rondo (Rajon Rondo) and Bron talk about is it doesn’t come around often. We have a great team to compete for a championship. So we want to take advantage of our opportunity that we have.
We just try to do things out there that other teams can’t do. We have such a talented team, and we still at times play scrappy. When you have a team that is talented and plays scrappy, it’s very tough to beat them.”
