NBA Star Organizes Talent Show on Instagram Live to Raise Money for Coronavirus Crisis

The pandemic is really bringing everybody together while staying so detached at the same time. With hell lot of time amidst the lockdown due to COVID-19, Serge Ibaka, Raptors man, set up a talent show on Instagram Live. Ibaka invited his fans in order to participate in this.
“While we are all social distancing and in quarantine, I’d like to bring positivity and reward talent and creativity.” – Serge Ibaka on Instagram Live

Fans will DM him the video of a variety of talent that they possess, be it dancing, singing, etc. Ibaka will pick and select the ones who will perform on the Live Chat. The talent show will take place daily at 5 pm ET. The winner will receive a No.9 Ibaka jersey and the Raptors power forward will donate $20,000 to the winner’s city or region to fight COVID-19. It’s quite an exciting and interesting way to contribute to the current crisis.

DeMar DeRozan crashed into Ibaka’s show yesterday. Ibaka seemed to push him into singing a song on his show. DeRozan expressed his desire to contribute to this initiative saying, “I’m going to help with the charity too, how about that?”. He added to it saying that he will also judge the show alongside Ibaka the next time. DeRozan will also be matching up to Ibaka’s donation of $20,000.
