Christmas Comes a Little Late for 20YO Kam Johnson, as Lockerroom Erupts After Wholesome Announcement

The festive delight came a little late for George Mason star, Kam Johnson as he received a heartwarming surprise. As he got his late present, the boys erupted in cheers for their teammate, leaving the fans in awe. 

Johnson has proved to be a rising star in the world of college basketball. With his skills and talent, the Patriots have won eleven matches out of thirteen games they have played so far. In their most recent match against the North Carolina A&T Aggies, Johnson made the highlights of the game as he bagged his career’s first three-pointer leading the Patriots to a win with the final score of 94-69.

The real surprise for Johnson came after the game. After securing their eleventh win of the season, the Patriots boys were in the locker room, recovering from the game, when Coach Tony Skinn decided to surprise the whole team. He entered the room, and said, “This week, I think it’s safe to say that my man, Kam Butter, was giving y’all that work…… He’s (Kam Killer) got a scholarship for the rest of his time.”

As soon as these words by Coach Skinn hit the ears of the players they all jumped on Johnson as they cheered and showed their happiness for Johnson’s other step towards success, creating a wholesome moment for the fans and Kam Johnson himself.

Notably, as the season continues many fans wanted to know more about this young prodigy. 

A rising star

Born in 2003, Kam Johnson is the son of Paula and Welford Johnson. Since his early life Johnson showed his interest in the sport of basketball, and to take his game to the next level he committed to play for the Charles City County High School.

With every match, he had the fans on their toes with his exceptional skills and talent. During his high school career, he averaged 20.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists which helped him earn all-district accolades.
