Ever since its inception in 1906, the NCAA has been a regulator of student athletics in over 1,100 colleges. Divided into three separate divisions, Division I of the NCAA serves as the pinnacle of collegiate sports, with many top athletes and colleges being a part of this division. Schools like USC, Notre Dame, and Yale are few who have been a part of this division the longest, with the latter also being the most successful school in the division.

Despite many schools vying for the NCAA crown in various sports, there has been a gradual rise from LSU in the past few decades. NBA star Shaquille O’Neal and Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow are a few of the notable LSU alumni. Many talents continue to make a name for themselves in Louisiana today. Athletes Olivia Dunne and Angel Reese clearly fit the billing of LSU’s next stars. Reese recently opened up on her campus experience explaining her Olivia Dunne-like decision.
