The CFB world had been basking in the Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter glory after their rage against North Dakota State. However, the analysts hardly care. Their mock draft made them realize that it was too early to celebrate. But what’s the hoopla all about?

Shedeur Sanders left out from the 2025 NFL mock draft

On September 6, PFF College came up with the latest version of the 2025 NFL Draft. One draft had been enough to turn Buffs fans’ game-day smiles upside down. The list that came via the NFL Stock Exchange shows the top-10 picks for the 2025 NFL season. Missouri WR Luther Burden III tops the list while Buffs’ dual-threat Travis Hunter has been predicted as the No.4 pick. The fans could still accept that Hunter has been displaced from the No.1 spot. But what left the fans’ blood boiling was Shedeur getting snubbed. Yes, the mock draft chose not to include Deion’s son in the list. But that should not be the case.

Even though the hype was all about Hunter who gifted the Buffs fans with a hat-trick of touchdowns on the eve of August 31, Shedeur also had a major contribution in Colorado’s 31-26 win over Matt Rhule’s tribe. The Buffs QB threw for 445 yards and came with not one, not two but FOUR TOUCHDOWNS! He took his ‘Most Sacked’ trophy and turned it into a ‘Most Improved’ badge of honor. Even after that, Shedeur failed to find himself a place on the list- that’s where the problem started.

Fans fuming over Shedeur Sanders’ snub

With one mock draft, the fans’ hope had taken the exit door. But it’s not that easy, as they huddled up to rip off the platform. By not finding Shedeur Sanders in the list, it was very easy for a fan to come to a conclusion, “Worst mock draft I’ve ever seen.” It’s not only about Shedeur, another fan lives by the belief that there should be no competition when it comes to their dual-threat, “Hunter should be 1-1.”

As another fan highlighted, the Denver Broncos are projected to pick No.1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and they would be making a big mistake if they miss out on their prime opportunity to draft Hunter, “I will never forgive the Broncos if they pass on Travis Hunter.” A fan mocked at New York Giants who would most likely pick Georgia QB Carson Beck, “Giants 100% qb here lol.”

Another die-hard Buffs fan stood firm in the fact that Carson Beck overtaking Shedeur Sanders is next to impossible since the Buffs QB is already reeling in praise from big shots. He commented, “Beck is not going to the Raiders over Shedeur. The amount scouts, coaches and execs the send to talk him is a good indication of their interest.” Let’s see if Shedeur Sanders’ future can transform the mock draft’s meh into a wowza!
