Among the Sanders kids, Shelomi is less prominent on social media. Deion Sanders’ youngest born had been having chilly relations with her father ever since the basketball phenom stepped out of the Colorado women’s basketball team. But now it seems that Shelomi is slowly catching up with his father and his siblings as far as social media prominence is concerned.

All thanks to her mother and Deion’s ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, for standing like a rock all through her tough times. She now has a fun time with her daughter. It’s time for some mother-daughter TikTok fun. After all, Shelomi broke her silence on leaving Colorado after she tagged the program as “wasn’t good vibes.”

Shelomi and Pilar’s TikTok break

For a change, Shelomi’s Instagram story is not about her stints or her new program, Alabama A&M’s big hits. On July 13, the basketball star accompanied by her mother, Pilar, stepped up to perform a TikTok trend. The comedy clip is shot in a kitchen setup, where Shelomi is spotted cutting a cucumber while Pilar is standing beside her. What makes the reel so funny? It’s Pilar lip-syncing to, “Do you want the chef to make the snack?”

To which came Deion’s daughter’s funny reply, “I’m making it myself gonna chop up some cucumber.” But the tables soon turned when Pilar’s voice synced with the audio, asking her to be a bit careful since earlier she had cut herself. And here came Shelomi’s joking claim, “Now I’m scared!” It was an absolutely fun clip to watch that captured the mother-daughter bond perfectly. It’s time for Shelomi to shake off all the negativity and focus on her life ahead. She already has taken the first step by voicing out the reason for her decision to leave CU.

Shelomi’s candid Instagram reveal about her CU exit

With the Buffs, Shelomi averaged 16 points per game and completed as a redshirt during her last chapter in Boulder. However, her good times were short-lived as she fell prey to a finger injury where she was left with a broken thumb. With this, Shelomi was sidelined during the first six games. Even when she made a comeback, she failed to capture the limelight, and Deion’s daughter gathered a season-low two points on 1-of-4 shooting.

Finally, the day came when Shelomi made up her mind to leave CU. On April 9, she made it official on Instagram. For three months, she kept it under wraps the real reason behind her departure. But she finally thought to let her guard down and on August 11 in an Instagram live spilled the truth, “I was sad and mad like every day. That and when I was at Jackson, like if I didn’t leave when I did, I promise you I would have quit.”

Something felt off for Shelomi in Colorado as she highlighted, “It just wasn’t good energy, wasn’t good vibes, wasn’t enough being poured into me as a player… it was just bad. But I’m good now.” Will Deion have a change of heart now that he knows Shelomi was feeling drained with the Buffs? Do share your thoughts!
