The August 29 Big Bash might be over, but this Michigan Wolverines alum is still not over the Colorado Buffaloes and North Dakota State face-off at the Folsom Field. If you think he was surprised by the outcome, you’re wrong—Deion Sanders’ Colorado team easily beat Tim Polasek’s tribe. Coach Prime and his last-minute decisions during the game prompted the ex-Wolverine QB to tag them as “stupid.” Don’t worry, Buffs fans. Deion is not the only one to be slammed. He even passed a brutal jab at the North Dakota State HC.

The Buffs family is basking in the success that came with the results 31-26 on Thursday night. All thanks to Deion’s trusted duo, Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, who made that possible. But poor Deion! No matter the final result, Jason Whitlock is a tough nut to crack. On August 31, the Michigan ex-QB dedicated an entire episode on his podcast. And guess what? More than the score, Whitlock has been left surprised by Coach Prime’s actions. He started with how the Buffs struggled in the first half while Polasek’s tribe was in full force, “Things were going so bad in the first half and North Dakota State was so dominant in the first half, Deion just got frustrated.”

And here, Deion made a thunder-blunder. “On fourth and one from his own 30-yard line he went for it and it got stuffed and that’s when North Dakota state had a chance to put Colorado in real harm’s way,” pointed out Whitlock. Even though Polasek’s tribe had to settle only for a field goal, Whitlock could not believe that someone so experienced as the Buffs HC made the wrong turn for going from the 30-yard line. However, he had his reasons. As Shedeur was sidelined, Deion went to a complete “panic mode.” According to Whitlock, even Polasek failed as an HC regarding decision-making.

Tim Polasek’s “dumb” decision to protect QB from Deion Sanders and Co.’s wrath

No matter how strongly North Dakota State tried to pin the Buffs down, they failed to participate in the victory dance. While fans expected a slow start for the program since Polasek is the new head coach, their star quarterback Cam Miller came up as an absolute stunner. However, his actions were stunted. All thanks to the Bison head coach, who decided to take Miller out of the game.

This struck Whitlock, who then stripped off Polasek, tweeting, “Why you take Cam Miller out of the game is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.” Why would the HC even do that? After all, he was the one who had kept Deion and Co. on their toes. The Bison quarterback even caught hold of some great numbers, going 10-for-13 with 144 yards.

And when the celebration was about the Buffs’ dual-threat Travis Hunter scoring a hat-trick of touchdowns, Cam Miller gave him a tough call. He, too, scored two touchdowns — one passing, one rushing. Maybe Tim Polasek was too scared to expose his QB to Deion Sanders’ army and had to be his biggest protector. What do you think about Polasek’s move? Do share your thoughts.
