The Sanders fam never runs late when it comes to participating in social media trends. Among them, the one who does it diligently without fail is Deion Sanders’ firstborn, daughter Deiondra. But this time is not at all about fun games. Rather something serious. Lately, the “Add Yours” trend is going viral on Instagram where people share their throwback pictures.

Deiondra too joined the party early sharing an old snap on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. Now, from whom does the mother of a two-month-old newborn find her motivation to face her internal struggles? Well, has to be Papa Prime.

The hidden struggles behind Deiondra Sanders’ picture-perfect life

Nowadays, Deiondra’s IG stories are all about the sweet struggles that come with being a new mommy. Deion’s daughter also shares snaps of the Sanders fam having a great time with Baby Snow. For a change, on October 18, the 32-year-old came up with something serious. Just eight days after World Mental Health Day (Oct 10), Deiondra joined the “Add Yours” trend on Instagram to promote mental health awareness.

The picture looked like from her 20s, wearing red shorts and a knotted white shirt. But what’s the purpose of Deiondra choosing this picture? Well, what she tried to deliver to her fans is that not everything should be taken at face value. In the picture, she might be coming off as her best version with a snatched waist, and on-point style, but deep down the time the picture had been clicked marked one of the darkest periods she went through.

The backstory of the snap goes perfectly with the template that reads, “A picture of me at my lowest and nobody knew: Even if someone looks happy, you don’t know what goes on behind the scenes.” And Deiondra had only one message for her fans, “Be kind. Be faithful. Be happy.” But what might be the possible reason behind her deteriorating mental health?

Deion Sanders and his daughter Deiondra fought the same fight

Well, sometime around last February, Deion’s daughter had once opened up about her mental toil. She appeared as a guest on the “It’s Giving” podcast hosted by Dr. Sarah Fontenot where she dived into the real issue. On being questioned about what triggered Deiondra to take up her mental health so seriously, she replied, “Ufff, this is a deep one. I was in a bad relationship, and it brought me down to like a really bad point in my life. I had lost myself, I didn’t know who I was or anything. I never been that type.”

Plus, there have been multiple nepotism attacks towards Deiondra that further fueled her mental toil. But maybe, it’s from her father Deion Sanders that she derived the strength, having known that Coach Prime too went through all this. When Deion’s marriage with Carolyn had taken an ugly turn, the Buffs HC had been completely devastated mentally.

The situation went so bad that he even thought of taking his life when he tried to drive his Mercedes off a clip. Obviously, nobody had any idea as Deion Sanders shared, “When I came out and told the world, this is what I was going through, this is what I was dealing with, they didn’t believe me.” Now you know that Deiondra Sanders got it from her Papa to fight the evils.
