They often say how difficult it is to be a coach. But they don’t know it’s equally difficult to be life coaches, that is, fathers. And when it’s Deion Sanders, it’s DOUBLE TROUBLE! After all, he now has a legit college football program, the Colorado Buffaloes, to mentor, plus he is the father of five kids. And guess what? The Buffs fans had to make it more difficult for Deion as his choice of ‘favorite kid’ keeps changing from time to time. But looks like Coach Prime is not quite bothered about what the fans think and picks the No.1 Sanders without anyone asking him to do so. That’s because he believes that somewhere his kid’s efforts are not getting enough appreciation.

Well, now that his kids have grown up, Deion must have thought that he could enjoy some time in peace. But it looks like they are not yet ready to leave Papa Prime alone. We have already seen Shelomi and how she turned heads by donning a t-shirt that read “Kid Rankings” during the Buffs face-off against the Baylor Bears. No brownie points for guessing that the basketball phenom had placed herself in the No. 1 spot. Yes, her siblings and half-siblings could not make it to the list. However, does Deion at all care about what his daughter’s t-shirt says? Definitely not! That man goes his own way and picks his favorite. By now you must have guessed who it can be, right? Of course, no one other than Deion Sanders Jr., aka Bucky. On December 4, the proud father tweeted, “This is the difference and my Favorite kid.”

Well, we know how Deion does not require any specific reason to boast about his children. Particularly when it’s his firstborn, Bucky, the good words just easily flow. A few days back, the proud father came up with a heartfelt post on Deion Jr.’s special day as Coach Prime wrote, “Happy Birthday to My Favorite Child! He’s the glue that holds everyone together.” But this time, it was no random tweet. Rather, the Buffs HC had a purpose. Somewhere, the proud father felt bad that his hardworking son was not getting much appreciation for the efforts he put in. As we all know, the Well Off Media is the backbone of the Buffs’ social media presence.

Without it, the Colorado fans would no longer be able to see the BTS or know what’s happening in the Boulder hood. Being the tycoon, Bucky pours his blood, sweat, and tears into his brand. So, Deion thought it was high time that Deion Jr. too gets the love and credit, just like his lil bros, Shedeur and Shilo. The tweet then read, “@DeionSandersJr Welloff Media on YouTube Subscribe asap please and thank u for supporting me and my son.” But is Coach Prime meddling in his son’s life going to cost him hard, sooner or later?

Deion Sanders asked to mind his own business

As much as Deion is protective of Bucky, that rule is applied to his other sons Shedeur and Shilo as well. And things are already sensitive this season. After all, his sons would soon be out of his safe nest and would be spreading their wings in the NFL. More than Shilo, Coach Prime seems to be extra protective about his other son, Buffs QB Shedeur. Do you remember what Deion said back in March on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast? Let me brush up on your memory.

He said on Shedeur’s incoming swap to the big league, “I know where I want them to go. So, it’s certain cities that ain’t gonna happen.” So it was quite evident how the steering wheel of his son’s life was in his hands. Now that the 2024 season is coming to an end, Deion’s panic might have gone 100x. That’s when an NFL executive blasted the Buffs HC for wanting to take control of his son’s life.

What’s your perspective on:

Should Deion Sanders step back and let his kids carve their own paths without interference?

Have an interesting take?

Well, a lot of people are excited about Deion Sanders and Shedeur Sanders taking up a package deal offered by the Dallas Cowboys. But there is one guy who thinks that this should not be happening. Keeping himself anonymous, an AFC Executive stated, “I hope for Shedeur that [Deion Sanders doesn’t coach him in the NFL] and he has to be his own man in his own career.” It’s high time Deion keeps himself away from Bucky too and lets him fix things on his own before another person comes up with a brutal shot for being too caring.
