The higher the power, the greater the shade. But Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes always gets a balanced taste of bitterness and sweetness when it comes to people’s reactions to their program. Whenever someone splurges hate at them, there is always someone to reel in with the much-needed boost.

Terrell Owens holding Dude Wipes XL

This time the motivating honors were taken up by the Hall of Famer Terrell Owens. When the world questioned Deion’s army’s talents it was the legend who took his stand on his IG story asking Coach Prime’s son Deion Sanders Jr. to turn dead ears. And how could Bucky not listen to the legend? The Well Off Media tycoon re-shared the message. Deep down he knows that Owens is right as Deion too came up with a somewhat similar pep talk before the Colorado State game.

On September 30, Owens shared a screenshot of an ESPN article where the ex-Seattle Seahawks star wrote, “@deionsandersjr Let em talk. They’re gonna have to answer to this when it’s time.” And Deion Jr. could not resist and re-shared Owens’ jumpstart jargon with a “Yes Sir.” But what’s the fuss about?

While Deion and the Buffs entered as a big underdog they crushed the UCF Knights in a 48-21 heroic feat. Rocky road for the Buffs! Even with a win, critics are a tough climb. This time it was ESPN’s David Hale who thought of giving them a hard time. It’s tough for him to believe that even with the flaws, Deion’s crew is reigning high among the Big 12 contenders.

No sugarcoating, just salt- that was Hale’s policy when it came to deconstructing the Buffs’ game against the Knights. “Colorado doesn’t run the ball, doesn’t play great defense, doesn’t protect the QB…yet, here we are– a team that’s 4-1 with an emphatic win over one of the teams we assumed was a Big 12 contender,” the critic said, throwing Deion and Co. under the bus. Thank god! The Buffs have someone like Owens. But do they really need the pep-talk, when already their HC had set out the ground rules?

Deion Sanders’ digital detox

Coach Prime did not have to wait till their face-off against the Knights to get his players mentally prepped for the hard times that were going to follow. Right before their face-off against the Rams, Deion Sanders had set out strict ground rules for his boys. After all, they are yet to recover from the September 7 showdown. Right after their thunderblunder loss against Nebraska, the Buffs fell prey to social media hate. The Cornhuskers celebrated their big win by playing Shedeur’s Percet Timing rap and imitating the watch flex move.

Instead of marking themselves safe from the attack, Jr. fell prey to their hate and took offense when he threw them an open challenge, “Y’all deserve it. Turn up Nebraska. We would do the exact same thing to y’all.” Taking inspiration from the Huskers, the Rams too planned to break Deion and Co.’s morales when their WR and QB duo, Tory Horton and Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi attacked the Buffs claiming them to be too overrated. This was topped up with an open challenge, “We’ll see how far Instagram followers gets them.”

Before things went out of hand, Deion had to hold the reins, “We’re not going to pull out no phones and do nothing stupid and post something stupid regarding the opposing team.” No sound, all profound – Coach Prime’s way of keeping it golden!

It seems you are interested in the Buffs. As you know NIL is very crucial for Deion Sanders’ program, in case you want to dig deeper into the concept you can check out the latest episode of the Think Tank podcast.
