Lately, for Colorado Buffaloes HC Deion Sanders, celebration has become a rare occasion. While college football athletes fail to give him any reason to be happy, the time has come for the NFL stars to do the honors. The athletes added a quintessential Deion touch to their game, leaving the Buffs HC on cloud nine.

This has been indeed a touching gesture for Deion, who then wasted no time to appreciate their thoughtful efforts that made his day. It was extra special for him since his gifting gesture went awry and he landed in a sticky spot for using it as a tool for his own benefit.

Deion Sanders gets a boost from NFL athletes

Like his son Deion Sanders Jr., Coach Prime, too had been scouting through social media to shift his focus and be happy. And on September 10, Deion just got lucky! He posted a collage of players who are part of different NFL programs wearing his Air DT Max ‘96. This was enough to lift the Buffs HC’s spirits who then wrote, “Lord thank You! Much Love fellas I truly appreciate y’all.”

Out of the posted pictures, one is the Buffalo Bills star QB Josh Allen. While hitting the gridiron, Allen went with the white and blue combination of the Diamond Turf that complimented beautifully with the Bills jersey. The other picture belonged to the athlete who “gets the ball 30 times a game,” Baltimore Ravens running back, Derrick Henry.

Henry rooting for Deion is not something new. As earlier too, he had flaunted a t-shirt with Coach Prime’s picture printed on the front. This time, the running back oomphed up his style quotient on the gridiron by wearing Coach Prime’s Air DT ‘96 in the black and purple theme. Will this serve as a soothing balm to the wounds left by the sneaker controversy?

Deion Sanders clears the air about his sneaker strategy

Deion Sanders never misses a moment to pamper his favorite players with gifts. Even though Coach Prime has no bad intentions, CFB fans being CFB fans, dragged him through mud. For this season, he in collaboration with Nike launched the DT Max model and used it as a motivational tool for players to earn it as a reward after putting up their best performance. However, this heartfelt move came off as Deion putting the sneakers as bait to lure the players.

And he had to clarify as he confirmed, “I don’t think we use it as a recruiting tool. This year we will. You know why? Because the guys that ball going to get them. I’m not putting everybody out there. I’m just letting you know now.” While college football players are yet to capture a prized moment in the Air DT Max, there is someone in the NFL who already rose to attention. But sadly, not for good reasons!

Deion Sanders probably missed one essential shot that grabbed the most attention. It was none other than Baltimore Ravens’ Isaiah Likely who was denied a touchdown by the referee since the replays showed that his foot was out of bounds. And what did Likely have on his feet during the disaster? Of course, Coach Prime’s newly launched cleats.
