Woohoo! The craze surrounding the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Northern Iowa Panthers has already been high. And guess who made it a notch higher? Had to be Matt Rhule’s star QB Dylan Raiola. For quite a long time, he had been the center of attention. Not only for his athletic skills but also his beyond-the-gridiron moves that kept the college football fans at the edge of their seats. Why wouldn’t they?

Dylan Raiola caught in the act of pulling off a Patrick Mahomes’ signature routine
If you are a die-hard Patrick Mahomes fan then Raiola’s move won’t be difficult for you to relate. The first time, the Cornhuskers QB has been tagged with the NFL superstar was when he turned heads at the pre-season camp leaving everyone present there wondering ‘Holy crap! What’s Mahomes doing here?’ Only to get their bubble popped since it was their fav QB Raiola who mastered the Mahomes look with the iconic broccoli hair and the Oakley glasses. Time for Rhule’s star QB to bring his unique antics on the field itself.

While the game was yet to kick off, Raiola decided to check the crowd’s excitement meter at Memorial Stadium. It’s a common sight for the fans whenever the Kansas City Chiefs’ “Magician” hits the gridiron. Now the Cornhuskers QB has also imbibed this routine.

As a video went viral before the game started, Raiola was spotted running towards the fully-packed stands with his arms raised in the air and fingers imitating a gesture for them to rev up their cheering chants. He then ended the act by making a high jump in the air showcasing how pumped up he had been for the game. But earlier, being the crazy Mahomes fanboy did cost him hard!

Fans are still not sold on Dylan Raiola’s copycat swagger
While Raiola tried going full Mahomes, the fans were still not ready to put the Huskers player on the Kansas City QB’s pedestal. So much so, that even after the rookie QB leading his team to a 40-7 heroic victory against UTEP, he failed to melt the ice. The roast reviews started to pour in as one of the fans wrote, “Nebraska QB going through a crazy identity crisis and nobody in his family is helping him.”
But who cares when Raiola’s ultimate mission gets accomplished? After all, the Cornhuskers QB is not quite interested in what the college football fans think about his moves. All he wanted was to somehow reach Mahomes through his sincere efforts. And BOOM! Raiola did hit the jackpot.
It was none other than the City Chiefs QB himself who stood in the rookie QB’s defense. Perfect QB bromance moment! “Yeah, I mean, it’s cool, honestly. I mean, I was that guy,” Mahomes said. Here’s hoping Dylan Raiola can hit the mute button on his doubters with a Mahomes-inspired Panther smackdown on September 14!
