Deion Sanders’ impromptu insights always hit the mark. This time, the Colorado Buffaloes defensive tackle Chidozie Nwankwo is vibing with Coach Prime’s instant genius. However, Deion’s latest off-court move did not hit the player Nwankwo; instead, it was about the girl-dad Nwankwo. The key to a revamped defensive line, as he is all set to plug up the run in his debut season with the Buffs, finds the much-needed motivation from the coach who thinks about his players and their families. After all, it came from Coach Prime, the father of five who is a coaching champ and Dad of the Year, all rolled into one.

The Buffs players follow Deion’s advice on-field, and Coach Prime remains their guide in the off-field antics. It’s so much so that players like Nwankwo now scout through their coach’s Instagram to get some nuggets on everyday life. And the Buffs HC has recently won hearts with a touching quote, “A child is not a mistake. A child is an opportunity to mature you, grow you, advance you, and give you skills.” This was enough to woo Nwankwo, who re-shared the story with the caption, “@elevationscu Thank you for all for this Blessing!!!” “This is why I love my coach,” Nwankwo later posted.

But what’s the big deal all about? On August 22, Deion startled fans with a random tweet where he wrote, “I’m looking for a Bank in Boulder or Denver that’s wants to have a business relationship with a few members of our team. It’s gonna bless whichever Bank that partners with us. Let’s Go. #CoachPrime @CUBuffsFootball @SMAC.” Coach Prime’s big idea finally hits the spotlight.

Per the reports, the hunt is finally over as the Buffs HC found his faith in Elevation Credit Union. The company has paired with 5430 Alliance, which would help open bank accounts. But here, Deion makes a masterstroke by allowing the players’ children with a total of $2,121 in savings to benefit from this initiative. And it did not come suddenly. It turns out Deion’s secret to success is years of balancing sports and five kids like a one-man band.

Deion Sanders on fatherhood

To know what Deion feels about the role of a father, we have to go back to June when Coach Prime, on Father’s Day, had dropped a banger. And guess what the secret behind his success as Super Dad? He chooses to live up to the role, not for one day but all days around the sun. The Buffs HC stated, “FATHERHOOD. It’s just not today. It’s EVERYDAY #CoachPrime.” And it’s not an easy task to do.

After all, as Deion highlighted, “You got a tremenduous responsibility. That’s to raise a young man or a young woman. Not necessarily the way you was raised but the way you seem fit, and doing the best thing for them. And that includes sacrifices.”

And guess what? Not just players, Deion Sanders always had a special place in his heart for the coaching staff who are fathers in real life. But not just fathers. He had always been particular about not allowing staff members who are not great fathers. Here’s to Coach Prime, who’s ensuring his roster’s super dads get all the high-fives.
