It’s the 5-star Tennessee Volunteers commit David Sanders Jr. Quite natural the Vols HC Josh Heupel is losing out on his goodnight’s sleep. After all, the young chap is yet to seal the deal with his program. And as of now, he is busy exploring other options and even paid a surprise visit to Ryan Day’s Ohio State Buckeyes. This must be enough to boost Day’s spirits as they prep to give the Michigan Wolverines a hard time. That’s when CFB Insider dropped in with some hot updates on what David Sanders Jr. upcoming plans look like. Meanwhile, the fans have already decoded something from his Thanksgiving Day post!

Heupel was able to woo David Sanders Jr. back in August. During that period, only the Vols were on his radar as he only talked to them and Knoxville was the only place he could be spotted. But maybe the young chap is having some FOMO now that he is on the road exploring some more options before hitting the settle button. Just when Tennessee started to prepare for their signing day, David Sanders Jr. was spotted at The Horseshoe for Ohio State’s face-off against Indiana Hoosiers. But why the Buckeyes? On the Ohio State Football on Lettermen Row podcast, in a conversation with host Mick Walker, analyst Steve Wiltfong came up with his analysis.

He stated that the Buckeyes were in line right after Heupel’s squad,  “Ohio State was the close runner-up the first time he went through the process.” Already Day is in the hot seat and losing four straight to Michigan would put an end to his coaching role. So in case, he is able to flip David Sanders Jr. then this would help him to shift the focus for atleast some time. And what does Wiltfong think about the chances of a potential swap?

“He could certainly still stick with Tennessee. I mean again he’s had a lot of love for Tennessee they’ve been recruiting him since he was in the eighth grade but Ohio State is in the mix here,” assured the analyst. As per the reports, David Sanders Jr. and his family would be arriving at a decision on the Thanksgiving holidays. The D-day is already here and the fans can no longer keep their calm.

All eyes are on David Sanders Jr.’s social media. Poor Jr.! The fans won’t even allow him to spend some quality time with his close ones. On Thanksgiving Day, David Sanders Jr. posted a picture of a plate of food and wrote “thankful.” But hold on, folks! Something was peeping in the picture. The athlete was spotted wearing a pair of Vols slides! This was enough for the Tennessee fans to cook up a narrative their way.
