The college football fans have been extremely lucky to witness the talent of an amazing sibling duo. For long, Colorado Buffaloes’ Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders have ruled the landscape. However, this season the duo has flown to the pro league. So now what? A new brother duo is already turning heads. That’s none other than the newly committed UCLA Bruins quarterback Nico Iamaleava and his brother Madden Iamaleava. Not just them. Here comes another brother duo who are rising to the spotlight. For so long, it has been only Ohio State Buckeyes star Jeremiah Smith who ruled the terrain. Turns out that the Smith bloodline is going to spread a bit more in college football, as Jeremiah’s brother is all set to step in. The young chap now holds not one, not two, but FIVE offers. This earned a reaction from another Buckeyes star.

Jeremiah came to the Ohio State program as the consensus No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class. The wide receiver shattered Buckeyes’ freshman records for receiving yards (1,315) and touchdowns (15), with 76 receptions. Not just this. Along with the numbers, the awards started to pour in. Big Ten Conference’s Richter-Howard Wide Receiver of the Year, Thompson-Randle El Freshman of the Year, first-team All-America recognition from USA Today, and it goes on. While fans are too busy obsessing over Jeremiah, here comes his brother, Angelo Smith

Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, FL) star is a commit of the 2027 class. But so what? He already has the eyes of the college football programs. Right now, Jeremiah’s brother is pampered with multiple offers. His 5th offer came on May 14, and Angelo could no longer keep calm. He made an IG post and wrote, “Wow!! Extremely blessed to receive and offer from Oklahoma State university #cowboysnation.” Other than Oklahoma State, Jeremiah’s brother holds an offer from the University of Miami since May 10, 2023. This happens to be his first offer. This is followed by offers from the University of Toledo since June 2024. At the beginning of this year, Angelo received two offers from Georgia State University and the University of Akron. But what makes Jeremiah’s brother a hot favorite?

Well, the sophomore excels both as a wide receiver and safety. A video posted by Sports Center Next went viral, as it captured the young chap for his exceptional speed and agility, as he left his defender scrambling in the dirt. Other than his big brother Jeremiah, someone else is also proud. That’s none other than the Ohio State quarterback, Tavien St. Clair. As Angelo confirmed his latest offer from Oklahoma State, the post had a like from St.Clair. Amidst all this, you must be thinking that something is missing.

Angelo Smith’s open challenge to his big brother, Jeremiah Smith 

That’s an offer from Ohio State. The Buckeyes’ head coach, Ryan Day, has already been wooed by his wide receiver, Jeremiah. He once said, “To come back and do it again shows his discipline. … To me, what is the biggest differentiator for Jeremiah. … His work ethic sets an example for the other guys. … That’s great leadership right there.” However, Day is yet to dish out an offer for Angelo. But so what? The young chap has already proved himself in Columbus. 

Last year in June, Ohio State arranged their high school football camp where Angelo had taken part. He was among the prospects from the prestigious South Florida Express 7-on-7 program that traveled to Columbus to work out at OSU. A year ago, he was already brimming with confidence about beating Jeremiah in terms of excellence. In an interview with Eleven Warriors, Angelo confessed, “I feel like I’m gonna be a better player than him, I know that. I play both sides of the ball. I’m definitely a game-changer.”

However, surpassing his brother’s achievements as a high school player won’t be an easy task. After all, Jeremiah Smith finished the 2024 recruiting cycle as the No. 1 overall prospect in his class. Maybe that’s what sets Angelo Smith firmly in the race to be better. Talking about his brother’s inspiration on his life, he said, “Watching him work, I definitely want to be better than him, I know that.” The Buckeyes fans are already manifesting to witness the Smith brothers raging on the gridiron in Columbus.
