The calendar might have flipped, but people are still buzzing about Shedeur Sanders’ insane Hail Mary against Baylor on September 21st. This time it’s the Buffs WR Jimmy Horn Jr. who is obsessing over the QB’s move. Well, one move was enough to help Deion Sanders’ program to break the 14-year hiatus against the Bears. And guess what? Before making the pass, Shedeur had to go through a riot of emotions. But even then he managed to gift the fans with a sweet surprise. Not only his fans, but the QB’s teammates like Horn Jr. were also at the edge of their seats. Meanwhile, Shedeur’s Hail Mary pass got sweet acknowledgment from the NFL big shot.

It had been a do-or-die situation for Shedeur and Co. against the Baylor Bears. The competition was neck to neck with Baylor leading with 24 and Colorado at 17 during half-time. Deion’s program had their hopes pinned on their QB to flip the narrative. But it took Shedeur too long. But never mind he at last made it! So when the clock struck 0:00, he made the best use of the overtime. This got Jimmy Horn Jr. curious about how Shedeur made the impossible possible.

On September 24th, Shedeur Sanders talked about it on his podcast, ‘2Legendary,’ while having a fun chat with his Buffs WR. Even amidst pressure with the tie, the QB went “I’m not gonna get sacked right here.” This made Horn Jr. confess “I thought he was going to sack you, bro.” Well, who could forget how the Buffs QB was sacked 52 times last year? This time, the cautious Shedeur kept his army geared up for the magical spectacle that was about to roll!

Before the QB rolled to the left and what came as a butter-smooth throw, he was chased during the line of scrimmage. But yet made it possible. All this came as an unimaginable feat that left Jimmy Horn Jr. drop the bold claim, “That thing was crazy bro.” But by now the WR has been immune to the craziness since the face-off against Colorado State has been a wild one too.

Even though at a point it felt like the QB would falter leaving Horn Jr. almost biting his nails off as he shared, “When I seen that ball go in the L, all I did was just take a deep breath.” But being the ideal teammate he never lost hope from Shedeur, “I’m over there like ‘Oh my God!’ Thank Jesus. I just knew it was about to win after he caught that ball.” Well, with that last-minute Hail Mary pass, Deion Sanders’ son succeeded in wooing the NFL big shot too.

Shedeur Sanders’ last-minute magic wins over NFL legend

It had been a tough call for Baltimore Ravens legend Robert Griffin III. On one end it was his alma mater, Baylor Bears on the other it was one of his close pals, Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes. But at last, Griffin III had to choose sides. And obviously, it was the Buffs for him. How could he not just appreciate Shedeur’s last-minute efforts?

Right after the QB in collaboration with WR LaJohntay Wester curated the Hail Mary pass, the NFL legend took to X. In honor of Shedeur, he posted, “Then SHEDEUR SANDERS TURNS AROUND, FINDS THE WIFI CONNECTION AND AIR DROPS A DIME FOR A TOUCHDOWN ON A HAIL MARY.”  Yes, Griffin III came up with the best words to describe the QB’s pass. The Buffs’ phenom made it look as smooth as an AirDrop even amidst the crucial hour.

After faltering badly against the Nebraska Cornhuskers and slipping into Deion Sanders’ blacklist, Shedeur Sanders’ just had the rebirth on September 21. The Buffs QB had already been snubbed from the 2025 NFL Draft. Now we wait to see if a shoutout from an NFL legend is enough to land a return ticket to the top draft spot.
