The USC Trojans QB Miller Moss had big shoes to fill! After all, he had to take the position of the Trojans’ star QB Caleb Williams, who boarded the NFL wagon. And did Moss make his tribe proud? Of course, he did. So much so that Miller’s ladylove, Sofia Hildebrand, poured in with over-the-top cheers after the QB destroyed LSU. Moss was the reason why LSU HC Brian Kelly got “angry” with his squad. However, just when things started to turn out for the better for Moss, he fell prey to a controversy.

Settling after the big hype that came his way on Monday night, Moss finally got the time to share some of the best moments from the evening with his fans. On August 4, he posted a series of snaps from his heroic feat at Allegiant Stadium with the caption, “Keep swinging.” While fans showered the QB with praise, a particular comment was extra special. Of course, it had to be from Moss’ sweetheart, Sofia Hildebrand, who wrote, “So proud of you.”

It was Sofia’s first experience seeing her boyfriend claim the gridiron since they started dating in October 2023. Moss ensured to gift his sweetheart with a marvelous performance that she will remember for the longest time. During the face-off against LSU in the Modelo Vegas Kickoff Classic, the Trojans QB engineered a late drive, which was then taken up by Woody Marks and culminated with a 13-yard touchdown run, ushering in victory for the No. 23 Trojans over the No. 13 LSU.

Once again, when the Tigers tied the game with only two minutes left, Moss caught hold of the pigskin and successfully completed five of his six passes to drive USC down the field. This made the “angry” LSU HC Kelly applaud Lincoln Riley’s greatest weapon, “Played well tonight. He [Moss] outplayed our quarterback. He made the plays when he needed to.” Amidst such fame, the QB has landed in a great soup.

Miller Moss addresses the past missteps

As per the reports, Moss is now under investigation by the University of South Carolina. It revolves around a “dispute” dated back to 2022, just after the signal-caller had finished his first season at Southern Cal. But what’s the hoopla all about? A video has been circulating on the internet where the Trojans QB is spotted rummaging through his roommate’s items and clothes. Not only that but Moss was also seen telling a friend to “take” something from the closet.

And what did the QB have to say about this controversy? Moss has been remorseful about his behavior. He confirmed, “Two-and-a-half years ago, the University conducted an investigation…I fully cooperated and took accountability for my decisions, and the matter was resolved. I regret my actions and have grown and learned from this matter and my focus is on the season ahead.”

However, the USC fans hardly have any time to focus on Miller Moss’ lows since they have more things to celebrate. Lincoln Riley’s program jumped up to #13 in the AP Poll after the win. All eyes are on Moss and Co.’s massive matchup against Michigan at The Big House on September 22.
