Love, maybe that’s what Shedeur Sanders is in dire need of at the moment. Now it will be even better when it’s right from the Colorado Buffaloes QB’s bro, Shilo Sanders. The Sanders fam never shies away from showing love and support on social media. At present, Shedeur lands in a sticky spot as he might not be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and Shilo can no longer keep calm.

As much as things are tough for Buffs fans to accept the fact that Shedeur and Shilo will be off to the NFL, it’s even tougher for the players themselves. After all, Boulder felt like a safe home with the brothers on the same team. Now nobody knows what the future has in hold for the Sanders boys. Amidst such uncertainty, Shedeur’s rising draft had hit the reverse gear. Coach Prime’s QB son is likely to lose his top spot to Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward. As much as it is alarming for Shedeur, this analysis did not sit well with Shilo. And what better way to shut the haters other than commenting on the post that showed Shedeur in a doubtful light?

Shilo commented on NFL Rookie Watch’s post, “Nah I met Shedeur before , pretty cool guy.” It hinted at how the Buffs’ safety does not agree with the points brought up by the analysts. The primary reason is Shedeur’s cockiness outside the gridiron. The caption of the post read, “Shedeur Sanders is reportedly being placed behind Cam Ward on several team’s boards now due to ‘off-the-field/attitude’ concerns.” That’s because the Buffs QB is not solely focused on the sport. Rather he is juggling between his other hobby, which is rapping.

The caption read, “Some NFL team’s are reportedly ‘concerned’ that Sanders isn’t solely focused on football, but rather his rap career and creating a personality out of himself.” On the flip side, football is Ward’s No.1 priority. Looks like what Shedeur does in his personal life turns out to have a grave impact on his draft stocks. A part of the caption read, “One anonymous NFL GM reportedly believes there’s ‘red flags’ to Shedeur’s personality between his fiery attitude and the watch flexing.” In this way, besides Ward, the Buffs QB’s lifestyle turns out to be his biggest foe. But there is also another big name that is threatening Shedeur’s path to the NFL.

A new competitor for Shedeur Sanders in the mix

While analysts believe that Ward will be ahead of Shedeur, NFL players feel that it’s going to be the Shedeur vs. Ward race. Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs, for example, dished out his take on the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. On February 21, Sports Illustrated released a short clip from Jacobs’ interview. The No.1 pick is held by the Tennessee Titans. The RB went like, “Oh they need a quarterback. Ohhh.. It’s a toss-up between the two. Between Cam Ward and obviously [Shedeur] Sanders. I think you can’t go wrong with either or.” But there is a different story here too.

The Tennesse GM Mike Borgonzi will be passing their QB through a sieve before landing him. As he himself confirmed, “We’re going to turn over every rock to make sure we get the right guy there.” In that case, Shedeur taking too long to throw the ball and his inconsistent deep passing might come off as a big turn-off. Just then, another name pops up in the QB race. That’s none other than Ole Miss Rebels QB Jaxson Dart.

In his three years under center in Oxford, the QB rewrote the record books and led the team to 29 wins including two bowl game wins. As per the recent developments, Chad Reuter of NFL.com recently predicted in his latest mock draft that the New York Jets would trade back into the first round. For whom? Has to be for Dart. So, Shedeur has to craft the perfect pitch to convince NFL teams that he can dominate the field while keeping his side ventures in check.
