Rivalry is at its peak in the Boulder camp. Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes are all geared up for the Sunday, September 7 big face-off with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Five days before the game, CU Governor Camden Dempsey had dropped a notice for the Buffs family. But mind you, even in the written notice, the message had the quintessential touch of rivalry, as Dempsey issued a color code alert.

But why is Deion’s program playing Fortress Keeper before the clash? Are they too scared of the Patrick Mahomes-like weapon that Matt Rhule has?

Deion Sanders’ Buffs go full war mode starting with a color code war

Not even a week left for Rhule’s Cornhuskers to host the Deion’s Buffaloes at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, LE. And the preps are on! After all, there prevails an undercurrent between the two teams. Last season, the Buffs had thrashed the Cornhuskers badly and came up with the 36-14 victory seized by Deion’s force. This time too, while last-minute tactics planning have been expected, Dempsey landed a bizarre notice that read “NO RED WEEK” in bold.

A part of the letter read, “This team is calling upon all Buffs to unite in solidarity by banishing the color red from our wardrobes, homes, businesses, and public spaces, by proudly displaying the Black and Gold as we prepare to renew our rivalry with the Cornhuskers.”

It seems that Deion’s program is not just changing the game scheme, they have got the program on a fresh new groove. For instance, for this season the Buffs have landed their new jersey with the new additions being the Big 12 patch. Why so much strategy? The Buffs are acting like they are going to war!

How Nebraska’s QB is ready to take on Deion Sanders’ army

It’s no less than a war. Till now, the CFB fans were going gaga over Deion’s son and the Buffs QB Shedeur Sanders. But not anymore! Rhule’s new QB weapon, Dyaln Raiola is not going to make Shedeur’s last chapter in college football a smooth ride. The Cornhuskers QB initially had turned heads for channeling the Kanas City QB Patrick Mahomes’ look. During the Nebraska pre-season fall camp, Raiola made an entry, and the people present there had skipped their heartbeat.

The QB was undistinguishable after how brilliantly he pulled off the iconic Mahomes look, sporting the broccoli hairstyle, and even scored huge points in the outfit game with the Oakley ski glasses and Adidas T-shirt. If you think that Raiola is all about Mahomes’s physical looks then you are mistaken.

Matt Rhule’s star QB ensured to add the Mahomes’ touch in his game-play as well. To instill the talents of the 3x Super Bowl champion, Dylan Raiola flew to Kansas City to be under the tutelage of Bobby Stroupe, Patrick Mahomes’ trainer since he was in the fourth grade. This was enough to shake up Deion Sanders and Co. who are plotting to plant their flag and throw a black-and-gold party.
