After all, Deion Sanders’ son himself sees him in the top spot. For now, he is on Pat McAfee’s list of favorites. However, amidst the excitement, would Shedeur end up snubbing Papa Prime’s orders? Well, the Buffs QB did give away some hints. It looks like the Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett is stirring the pot.

Pat McAfee sings high in Shedeur Sanders’ praise

Super Bowl LIX has been the main event in New Orleans this week. And it’s obvious Shedeur Sanders would be a part of it. After all, what better way to showcase what he’s got than in front of his NFL suitors? It’s more special for the Buffs QB, who used his trip to the Big Easy to celebrate his 23rd birthday.

As per Athlon Sports’ Luke Easterling, Shedeur Sanders now holds the No.2 rank in the 2025 NFL Draft, trailing behind Miami Hurricanes QB Cam WardWhile some analysts say that the Buffs QB is projected to go to the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6. Amid his NFL buzz, he crossed paths with Pat McAfee in New Orleans.

The Indianapolis Colts punter could not resist pouring his heart out to Shedeur. The two shared a light-hearted moment where McAfee landed heavy praise, sounding confident about the Buffs QB’s NFL future. McAfee stated, “Hey, I punted in the NFL man. Hey, big fan. How are you feeling? Can’t wait to watch where you go.”

It was followed by praises like, “You’re the man. You are tough. I like that. You getting your a– beat and standing right up and then like talking shit about it. I respect you. You’re a dawg. Good luck and it’s been fun to watch you.”

And what was Shedeur Sanders’ reply? The Buffs QB, in his classic style, answered, “It’ll be legendary.” Earlier, the buzz was about the Shedeur x Cleveland collab. The Browns have the No. 2 pick and are in dire need of a quarterback. Thanks to Deshaun Watson’s never-ending woes with injury.

However, to make the Buffs QB’s Browns’ dream come true, Shedeur will have to go against Deion’s plan for his son. It looks like things are turning towards it.

Is Myles Garett the game-changer for Deion’s Shedeur plan?

Coach Prime has been way too protective of his kids’ future. So even before the 2024 season concluded, the Buffs HC has been sorted about Shedeur’s next stop. Deion had made it clear about his son not joining certain programs. By “ideal,” he means a well-run franchise with a sound track record of developing rookie quarterbacks. On that ground, the Cleveland Browns went outside of the race.

After all, the Browns have a troubled history. They have started 40 different quarterbacks since the franchise returned in 1999 – the most in the league. Sadly, only two quarterbacks have played a full season for the Browns. But it looks like Deion’s fear is about to become true. Already the Browns were struggling with a dismal season with only three wins. And guess who made their woes 100x more? Their star defensive end, Myles Garrett, is renowned for his prowess in sacking quarterbacks.

The player had dropped a bombshell stunning the football world with his trade request. While the Cleveland fans are obviously unhappy with the news, someone is pouncing upon the chance. As the defensive end’s trade request went viral, Shedeur Sanders landed a cryptic message “Legendary.”

After all, he knows pretty well, now that Myles Garrett will be out, he would instantly become the face of the franchise if Garrett is gone. If the Browns draft the QB, of course. The pressure is on Shedeur Sanders—go all in for the NFL’s top-2 pick or honor his father’s plan? On that note, Shedeur better not repeat the mistake his sister Shelomi made.
