Does that mean that college football fans can now have a good night’s sleep? Definitely Not. Right now they are looking for the answer to ‘What’s next?’ More than the other programs, it’s the Colorado Buffaloes fans who are perturbed the most.

Las Vegas Raiders hunt for GM

Dallas Cowboys GM Jerry Jones has started their hunt for their next HC. They have already had a word with the Buffs HC Deion along with the Texas Longhorns HC Steve Sarkisian. But not every program is as lucky as the Cowboys. Some are like the Raiders who are still hunting for a GM. They are taking one step at a time. As reported by Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports, the Raiders have completed their in-person interview with Giants assistant GM Brandon Brown on Monday, January 20. Jones shared a throwback video of Brown with Deion’s boys. The caption read, “This fall, Brown scouted Colorado plenty and gave this impromptu speech to Shedeur Sanders and teammates in Boulder.”

The video showed Brown delivering a pep talk to Shedeur and his teammates. He shared some insight into what NFL executives prioritize during the draft process. “When you think nobody’s watching, somebody’s watching. We’re looking at everything, whether it’s your mannerisms, your attention to detail, what kind of teammate you are, how do you train,” the Giants GM dropped some suggestions.

But what made the Raiders go for Brown? As Jordan Schultz stated, “a fast-rising executive with a scouting background, [who] won a Super Bowl with the [Philadelphia] Eagles during the 2017 season.” He also served as a scouting assistant with the Indianapolis Colts and was named the director of pro scouting for 2019 and 2020. With this, tough times roll in the New York Giants hood. They are on the brink of losing Brown, which might come off as a blessing in disguise for Shedeur and his mates who are going to step into the NFL.

Shedeur Sanders’ cleats saga continues

Ever since Shedeur flew to New York to root for Hunter’s Heisman finale, rumors have started to do rounds about him going with the Giants. Even clips went viral of the Buffs QB playing with Malik Nabers on the streets of New York. But do you know what fueled the rumors? Just before the Alamo Bowl, Shedeur showed off custom cleats with the logo and colors of the New York Giants. However, during the Bowl game, Deion’s son wore a pair of black cleats rather than the Giants’ pair.

To not let the fans’ curiosity fade away, Shedeur said, “We know where we going… You’ll see them in the cleats later on this week.” Back then, the Giants held the No.1 pick, and as we know the Buffs QB wants to land as the top pick. However, in a recent interview with Complex, Shedeur gave clarity about the cleats picture.

He clarified, “I don’t even know who even took that picture. I don’t even know how that even came about. So I’m not sure what even happened.” What a timing! As per the latest mock draft, Shedeur Sanders is projected to be selected by the Las Vegas Raiders as the sixth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. In that case, Brandon Brown X Raiders’ collab would be an absolutely WIN-WIN situation for the Buffs.
