Everyone’s so hyped about the 2025 NFL Draft that they’re missing the good, heartwarming stuff. Alabama’s Ryan Williams just gave us a reason to smile, and it’s all thanks to the Crimson Tide fam for letting him celebrate with the fans—his bigger fam. This time, the fans are the little ones across Alabama who have a penchant for painting. Here, Williams and his mate Jaylen MBakwe spearheaded the whole initiative. And that’s how Hollywood—the man who ‘always put on a show’—is celebrating his birthday weekend.

Now, Williams has too many things on his plate. He is heading into the 2025 college football season as one of the Top 5 SEC wide receivers. Sure, the true freshman wasn’t perfect last season. But this 18-year-old left no doubt about his talent. With 48 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns, he’s won over Alabama fans—and not just the grown-ups. Even the lil ones now see him as a superhero.

The WR thus planned an interactive session with the lil fans. However, it won’t come easy. The school students across Alabama will now have to fight to win the chance by showing their talents. In this heartfelt initiative, Williams has found Mbakwe by his side. Not for the first time. The two have started the New Wave podcast together. On February 13, the WR shared a post from the podcast on his IG story. It had pictures of students from the Hall-Kent Elementary School holding their paintings. The caption read, “Students are starting to send in the submissions for the Ryan Williams & Jaylen Mbakwe art contest! 🥺❤️ @hkelemschool.”

This has been truly heart-touching for the 18-year-old. He then wrote an encouraging note for the children, “Love it!! Keep up the Great work guys 🤩.” The young ones gave their best efforts to make paintings of the duo with crayons. Not to forget the “A” symbol for Alabama along with the “Roll Tide” slogan. How cute! After all, the prizes are too lucrative to miss.

It’s called the K-6 Art Contest, and the tagline says, “Do you love Alabama football? Are you a creative student with a passion for art? Here’s your chance to show off your skills.” It further read, “Winner will receive- 1. A shoutout on the next podcast episode! 2. A signed football from Ryan and Mbakwe 3. An opportunity to meet Ryan and Bak in person! 4. Suprise gift that will be revealed later.” That’s how William’s birthday week and post-birthday week have been made special.

How Ryan Williams is turning 18 in style

Williams became sweet 18 on February 9. His 18th birthday celebrations got 100x sweeter as the WR inked an NIL deal. The freshman signed an endorsement deal with the nail polish brand Sally Hansen. Now if you are a true Williams fan, then you must be aware of the athlete’s love for nail paint. He loves to paint his nails before every game, a tradition that started back in high school with his little sister. It gives you Caleb Williams’ vibe, isn’t it?

He either paints them in the opposing team’s colors, like the orange he chose against Tennessee, or matches them to his suit. Before his 18th birthday, Williams painted his nails black and wrote on IG, “Now I’m all ready to enjoy my birthday and the big game.” Well, the Alabama WR is not the first one to seal a with Sally Hansen. Last year, Duke star Jared McCain was the lucky one.

As per the On3 reports, Ryan Williams ranks at No.13. He currently holds an NIL valuation of $2.7 million and is the highest-ranked player on Crimson Tide’s list. Along with Sally Hansen, the WR has deals with NXTRND (a football equipment company), Fortnite, and EA Sports College Football 25. As Williams is winning fortunes, he is winning hearts too.
